Which Mac Did you put these duals in? Where did you get them, and how much did you pay?
Tell us the difference you see in your ____Mac now? These cpu's sound like a dream come true
for my Beige MT and DT. With this dual system, could the 66MH be overclocked to make a
Beige the "King of the Road?" Thank you, James
It would have to be an AGP G4 or better, since the dual G4 cards only went in those.
The only thing that could make your Beige 'King of the Road' would be a time machine to travel back to when they were first released....

Hi all,
I bought a G4 500 Mhz cpu for my mac, that has dual cpus, I was wondering what this cpu would be comparable to if both cpus were one, like my dual PIII machine at 1 Ghz (each cpu) is about the same as my single Athalon Tbird 1.4 Ghz cpu...
As for Joe's question: It depends. In OS9, only a few applications took advantage of the duallies. Under OSX the OS takes advantage of them, so more applications are effective, but it's probably going to be like the dual PII setup you have...I'd wager that the dual 500's overall perform about as well as a 750-800 or so, with spikes for the apps that can really make efficient use of the dual CPU's.
