A while back, I bought a used Sony ATA CRX140E CD-R/RW internal IDE drive, and just got around to installing it in my beige G3, OS9.1. I can use the drive to read disks, but I can't use it to write onto. What do I need to do?
for free, you can try Disk Burner, from Apple. That will let you stick in a blank disk, which appears like a blank disk on the desktop. fill it with stuff, drag it to the trash and Disk burner will burn the disk.
If DB doesn't support that drive, you'll have to get Toast, from Roxio. More $ but a lot more capable. If you install iTunes, as mentioned in another reply, and it supports the drive, then Disk Burner will as well, since they use the same extensions.
