I'm still looking for a scsi mount utility of the kind that works so well in
preX systems. The best is MtEverything which allows you to mount scanners or
drives that were turned on after boot. Surely the Unix foundation of X allows
this but no one seems to know how to do it, though it was routine in 8.x and
9.x.
I have a friend who runs a small publishing house using Macs and PCs and is
driven crazy by this kind of thing.
This doesn't answer your scsi question, though if there were such a utility for
X it might.
