I've skipped most of this thread (sorry) but here is what I have on my beige G3 that ran fine in both 9.2.2 and 10.2. I have one of the ethernet to wireless bridges on my Mac that works without any drivers or any other issues. I needed to get one of these because all of my pci slots are full. These units need no drivers of any kind and will work with ANY device with an ethernet port and connect it to a wireless network.

The one recommendation I make is that you try and get one that is the same brand as your basestation if possible. When you keep to the same brand, it USUALLY makes configuration easier. Also, when you have a power outage, you do not have to reconfigure things, the network will probably work as soon as the power is back.

I have the D-Link AirPlus DWL-810+ Ethernet-to-Wireless Bridge http://www.dlink.com/products/?model=DWL-810%2b and it works flawlessly for me since I set up my home network. My network is as follows, if this helps at all:

Comcast Cable Modem
Dlink 714+ access point with print server with a Epson C82 hooked to it ( it only supports printer sharing with pcs, unless you have a postscript printer)
Pent II/233 with Dlink wireless pci card
Pent II/400 wired to the 714+
Beige Mac beast (G4 533, 768m/80g/Radeon 7000, etc) with an Epson C82 (I figured it would be easier for supplies if we had matching printers) that has the DWL 810+ attached.

FWIW, I have heard nothing but trouble reports about using a usb wireless adapter.

I hope this helps.
