Aha! Whaddaya know. Thanks for the info. Well, to check this indexing thing
out I just now brought up Sherlock 2 (OS 9.2.2), and under its Find menu is
the choice: "Index . . .". Choosing that brings up a box that not only lets
you choose the drive to be indexed, but it has a Schedule button on the
lower left corner that lets you pick the time of day.

Well, you learn something every day.
