Hi all! I just picked up a Biege G3 tower for $75, I know the desktop model is called gosamer, whast this one called?
It has that audio in and out card in it, I need info or links ot info on this card. The model I have of G3 tower is the 266 version, I just put a 400 MHz G3 in it, but have not set the jumpers yet, will do that in the morning. I need the card to add more ram to the video in this machine as it only has 2 MB, and the card slot is empty. I need to know what rev MB I have and how to tell which rev ROM I have, and if I can put a DVD player in this machine, I plan to dual boot OS9 and X.2, using the original 6 GB drive for 9 and a newer 7200 RPM drive for OSX. I may need help flashing a PC radeon 7000 card so the video works better and so I can run dual monitors. The video chip on the mother board says something like rage somethingaruther + DVD... I noticed that hopped up sound in and out card in the funny slot has a bunch of vacant connectors on it, are they worth filling? I may just use this machine for a webserver, as I have a Mystic 500 G4 dualie for everyday use, but it is a nice machine, I'm hopin got bring the last beige Desktop model home for free for my little bro soon, wish me luck in my new adventures in biege G3 land... -Joe -------------------------------------- www.kuleinc.com www.kulehome.net ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
