Following a barrage of advice recently to ditch the USB modem off my beige G3/300MT, I've acquired an ethernet ADSL router.

In 9.2.2. I have configured TCP/IP to connect via ethernet, with the right address for the router (10.0.0.2) and the right address for my ISP as search domain. But the Modem control panel only offers Printer port or Modem port (and sometimes Voyager, my ADSL USB modem) to select from, as does Remote Access.

In 10.2.8, I've done the same, but still Internet Connect only offers Printer Port, Modem Port or Voyager (my USB modem).

How do I tell the Mac to use ethernet???????

Or am I being stupid & missing something glaringly obvious? (This, I must say, has been known, once or twice)

Thanks,

Ted
