At the prices the B or C roms were going for last time I looked, you would do much better purchasing a 133 ATA pci board instead. (Actually, they say the 133 is overkill for a Beige. You'd get the same advantages from 66 board at less cost, If I have it right.) They would cost less than the ROM, give you the option for 4 drives (not counting any on the motherboard ide bus) and they will be MUCH faster. And, since the computer sees the drives as scsi, even though they are not, you would no longer be required to install X in the first 8 gigs. I've put a Rom C in my machine and a pci card too.
