Sonnet just announced a G4/800 and G4/1000 for the B&W, available as of now. They're not cheap

I just put in a G3/900 ZIF from OWC (www.macsales.com). I picked the G3/900 instead of the G4 ZIF because the 900 is actually a little faster than the G4. The G4 is only useful if you utilize it's "Velocity Engine" with applications that use it (like Photoshop). If you don't have a lot of apps that use the velocity engine (and there ain't that many apps that do use it), go with the G3/900. Nice thing about the G3 is no worrying about heat issues.

Email me off list if you have any other questions about the G3/900.

Can I upgrade it to a G4? If so how do I do it?
