You hit the nail on the head Glenn

Its the server interaction more than anything else that just doesnt gel,
rather than having single mounts it seems the networking goes out and finds
things for itself, so say for example you have a server with a high res
images and one with low res positionals for artworking in quark, you cannot
swap between the two easily. I don't really know much about the
technicalities of quark, but the way our studio uses it the one guy on
Panther had major headaches every day, hence the retrograde.

I didnt find the missing mp3s in the previous systems folder but its no
biggy, he'll just have to bring his cd collection in again for ituning. heh.

Subject: Re: Panther to Jaguar Retrograde problems

I had given it great thought. I hate the stainless steel look of 10.3
(and I don't think I'm the only one), but I like the way the
windows/icons are arranged vs. 10.2 (quick access icons on the left
side of the window vs. top of the window). Sounds simple, but as a web
designer easy navigation is king. At first the "Servers" thing confused
the heck out of me, but I'm used to it by now. Besides, the upgrade
forced me to upgrade the firmware to my Sonnet PCI ATA controller.
