I purchased a CompUSA brand 4 port USB 1.1 card (<$20.00) and it works like a champ.
I did not have to install anything to get it to work. I'm running 10.2.8.
I'm running 2 printers, an USB keyboard and a Compact Card reader.

I had purchased a new 2.0 PCI USB card a while back for my G3 beige. I am running OS 9.1 now. You mention a download from Apple I'm guessing, to install prior to installing the USB card.
I'm not sure if the card is O or E but it is a five port with one port internal and four external accesses.
Wonder how I would determine if it was O or E and do you have a link to the "fix" download you mention?
Thanks so much,
Joel
