Just recently, I've been experiencing a problem on my B&W G3/350 rev. 2 (OS 8.6). When I start it up, it indicates that Disk First Aid has found an "Invalid PEOF: 98193, 2154 but that this error cannot be repaired by Disk First Aid". I have 2 internal HD's running in thsi machine -- the original HD (6 GB) that I boot from plus an additional 60 GB HD that I use for storage. I can no longer open the boot HD icon on the desktop and when i do click on it, it freezes up and I'm forced to do a hard re-start. I'm worried that the original HD is corrupt and probably will need to be reformatted -- but I wasn't able to copy all of my files from the original HD to the 2nd HD.

So my main questions are: what disk repair software is my best option for trying to fix the problem? (or at least fix it enough so I can recover the data on the drive and then probably replace the darn thing). And how can I get the data from the original HD to my 2nd HD? I'm thinking I will probably need to find a copy of Disk Warrior but will the latest version work with OS 8.6? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks,
Lynn
