I have given up on my quest to use the SCSI drives I acquired for
Backup/extra storage. I am considering an external case (USB/Firewire). I am
thinking of removing the current ATA 80 Gb (for the external case) and
upgrading the internal to serial ATA with PCI card.
I have three of these: http://www.softwareandstuff.com/h_hd_ST446442W.html Set up in an old peecee case as external storage running happily with my wind tunnel MDD using the Apple provided ADPT 2930CU PCI SCSI card. At $14.00 for 47 GB, the storage price was too good to pass up.

Any issues with the PCI cards in OS X ( Jag or Panther ) ?
Not sure far with any PCI cards I have used with mine. I am very impressed with OS X's ability to detect and recognize a wide range of hardware.
