Hello:

I went dumpster diving yesterday night and found myself a 400Mhz G3 Blue &
White.

I am extremely concern about the heat dissipated from this new CPU. Yet, it
is supposed to work with the heatsink of the original G3 in the Blue &
White. Should I look for a better heat sink/fan for this new G4 ? Or is it a
problem that simply don't exist and I'm overly cautious?

Don't worry, the G4's don't generate much more heat, in fact, this one might generate less heat than the older G3 in the B&W. I have a similar G4 in my beige, with it's original heat sink and have not had any problems .

Mind if I ask where you were diving? That sounds like a good site ;-) The ones around here never have anything good...the best I ever did was drag a Performa 6214 out of the trash...
