What computer are you using ?

Thank you for responding.
I am using several Mac computers. The help I am seeking is for two of them:

Beige G3: MacOS 8.6; 768 MB; Orig. 4GB HD; 40GB ATA-2nd HD; A Combo
FW/USB pci card; CD-RW
PowerBook G3: MacOS 9.1; 192MB; FW pci card; Keyspan adapter
----------

Is there a reason that you are still using 8.6
---

Yes, there are several reasons.
1. I am using the Beige G3 with 8.6 as the workhorse and storage. 8.6
seems more stable & compatible on this computer with older scsi equipment
and applications.

2. I was finally able to convince colleagues who had no prior Mac
experience to switch to Macs. I initially installed OS 8 for them, then
upgraded that. They are now using 8.6 and are just now feeling comfortable
with it. I need to retain 8.6 to be more system specific when lending a
hand. I have OSX on my B/W but they have found that confusing. (Change is
slow)

Kind regards,
Abbe
