I am looking at a G4/733 on the internet to buy. The owner is selling it for parts. He says it does the following:
When I turn it on, it makes a funny long tone, and nothing happens. The light on the front (power light) blinks a long blink followed by a short blink. I have tried every combination of memory possible, and nothing changes. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? He said he's tried every combination of ram possible. Are the QuickSilvers the only ones that came with the 733mhz's? In other words if I find a G4 with a 733 can I be sure it's a quicksilver? Same for the 867mhz?
