Hello folks,
I need some help. Can't figure out why I can't receive email or send. I using the same provider, but all of a sudden can't use OSX's mail program, mail (1.2.5)
Beige MT G4/400 ziff, rev.A, OS 10.2.6.
I've checked the settings for in and out going, etc. and all are correct. I get a dialogue box that tells me my port in wrong etc.
What is the exact wording of this error message? This is the error, and it IS in the settings somewhere. I'll bet your ISP has switched to authenticated SMTP, or is using SSL for mail transport.
That Eudora doesn't work either is key...Eudora and Mail.app share nothing in common when it comes to sending mail other than the settings.
