Hi Sue

I think the best thing for you would be getting hold of PC MacLAN from

http://www.miramar.com/Products/PC_MACLAN/

I have used it to network a Win 2K machine to a 9.2.2 iMac, it worked very
well, however I now use Jaguar with windows file sharing as a native option
so haven't used MacLAN for a while.

I also added WinProxy to my Win 2K machine so my iMac could surf the web
using the Windows machine as a Proxy.

PC MacLAN does cost money though, so another option would be to buy a
version of OS X with windows file sharing (jaguar or panther) and install
that.

Regarding word, pdf and powerpoint filetypes, they are cross platform
compatible you don't need to alter the files in any way just whip them
across your network and they work natively in whatever OS you use (as long
as an application that can read them is installed).

An altogether cheaper way is to email the files to yourself and them pick
them up on the respective machine from your email account (file size can
hinder this) I used to do this before I had PC MacLAN.

Hope this helps

Sean
