--- You wrote: Can someone set me straight (short explanation) on how it affects the PRAM, etc. when you change drives on my G3? Thanks. --- end of quote --- I have four drives in my Beige G3, three on an 133 ATA and one on the motherboard IDE, and I always forget about the 4 gig scsi outboard drive since I never use it anymore. Also a firewire drive. Never had a problem adding or pulling drives. Got to keep the master-slave jumpers correct. Got to make sure they are formatted correctly or have the appropriate drivers if they are on the ide or ATA pci card.
But I never had to zap pram or cuda or anything. I haven't followed your thread, but something else is going on if you are having a problem.
