Is the student account a standard user account or administrator account? On Mar 19, 2004, at 1:48 AM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
For the Mac OS X gurus on our list, I have a simple question.
I have a spare G3 being used as a file server in the lab. It basically has
two users on it, the administrator (me) and the "student" for all others. It
is networked for file sharing but not connected to the internet or LAN. I
have set as many privileges as possible for the "student" but a couple of
things never operate:
When booted up as "student", the Mac Help Center is completely disabled
(*not* good) and will not mount when called for.
Also not operating are the screen saver effects, which may or may not be a
related issue.
