My guess is that it's a specious error message and something else (for which no proper error message exists) is happening. My 2nd guess would be that the installer Real Networks used dates from pre OS 8.1 days and it doesn't recognize partitions over 4 GB as being possible. Or, perhaps it can't deal with the way Classic reports available disk space to OS 9 apps.

Suggested workarounds: boot to OS 9 and install from there or just use the OS X version of RealOne Player and don't worry about Classic. (I vote for the the latter.)

I just tried to install the free version of RealPlayer on my G3-mt. I have OS10.2.8 installed with OS9.2 on Classic. When I elected to install it on OS9.2, I received a note saying-"Not enough Space on drive Customer Service G3: to continue installation. Free space: 0KB. Space required 9675 KB". I have 5.68 GB available on my OS9.2 partition. What gives?
