Eric lives in Phoenix, where it is already in the upper 90s. He could schlep from one Zia to the next looking for used copies of the CD he wants, but why? With iTMS, he can sample the songs to make sure he's getting the right album and shop whenever he likes--3 pm or 3am--and without having to make himself presentable.

As for pricing, most labels allow iTMS to charge $9.99 or less for an album. Sure, you can get some used and cutout CDs for less than that, but when you figure in the gas, wear & tear and shear aggravation of fighting your way through the malevolent Saturday traffic in the land of Aquanetta...

On a track by track basis, iTunes is a good value, but
I thought the full album prices were a bit high.
Really, if you're going for the full CD, buy a used
one - not only do you get the better sound quality,
but you also get the artwork and liner notes AND, you
can pretty much do what you want with it. (Oh I DARE
the RIAA to tell me what to do with my money.)
