I currently have a 40GB 7200rpm WD HD running Jaguar in my rev.1 B&W. I have it connected to an ACARD PCI ATA-100+ controller card, but I've also had 30GB drives attached to my onboard ATA port without any problems. Just remember if it is a rev.1 B&W that you have, then you can ONLY have ONE hard drive attached to the onboard ATA port. You'll get problems if you try to attach more than one hard drive to the onboard ATA port. In order to use more than one drive you'll need to invest in a PCI ATA controller card. Go for the ATA-133 kind. Is there any more description that you can give regarding this "G4 only" hard drive? i.e. storage size, speed, type of connection (IDE, SCSI, Serial-ATA, etc.) -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
