Can't speak to every manufacturer, but all the ones we have around here, quickly came out with updated firmware on their web sites. Download an install and the issue was gone.
We had one FW 800 external that had a problem. None of the FW 400 drives did, however we did the firmware updates on all and they've been working fine since 10.3.1
