would like to load my iTunes library from my G4 into the ThinkPad.

No copyright or piracy issues here, all music in the library is bought and
paid for or previously owned on CD. Any ideas?? I have a Pioneer 106D drive
in the G4 and a Combo drive in the ThinkPad, thought I might be able to burn
a copy and transfer. Before I waste the time and burn the DVD-RW, will it
work.

Should not be any problem. I loaded iTunes on a windooze peecee here and I was able to transfer my whole iTunes library from our Mac's to it over our LAN (ethernet) . With iTunes music store purchased music it will ask you to "authorize the peecee" as one of your the authorized computers.

I'm sure you could move it via optical disc, but if the T41 supports ethernet, just cable it and the Mac together and set up your own network. Thanks to rendezvous they will show up on each other when iTunes is open, so if you have a song on one but not the other you can still play it.
