According to "Apple Error Codes" and/or "MacErrors"
A +4 error:
ID=04 Zero Divide Error
This error results if the microprocessor divides two numbers, and the
divisor is zero. Sometimes a programmer puts these in as debugging aids, and
then forgets to take them out.

A -4 error:
-4    unimpErr  unimplemented core routine

I guess it will be a -4 error.
Never had this with Eudora. Is this your 1st run?
Would say: Restart Eudora and perhaps run DiskFirstAid and/or DiskWarrior.
HTH,

Jo
