All very true, and there's no question spell-checking is a useful tool. I
use it a lot too. But...

There's no guarantee that it will catch all your errors. I once spent a week
in the dessert where their can bee danger of your knot careful, two. In one
of Garrison Keillor's books I remember reading a passage that mentioned the
baby Jesus lying in the manager.

The only word in the above that is flagged is "Keillor's." So, unfortunately
you really need a dictionary also.
