Tom,

I'm using OS X 10.2.8 as of about three weeks now, and it's great! I'd really 
recommend that you move on to it. 

However, prior to this I ran OS 9.1 for about two years, with MS Outlook Express, and 
I have hardly any complaints about that program. It was more versatile than the Mail 
program with OS X that I'm now using, though I find Mail adequate. The only gripe I 
had with OE was that I couldn't get it to automatically receive email; I had to 
manually click the send/receive button.
