Please help. ~ Ben ~

X-Plane runs on Open GL, which means you need to match the displayed resolution to your monitor's setting (mine is at 1024x768, which XP seems to prefer best, for some unknown reason). Look under the "Rendering" option under the "Settings" menu, on both 6.x and 7.x.

You should have enough horsepower on your eMac to run the latest release, btw, 7.41rc1 (which *should be* in final release this week or next). I'm using it on a B&W G4/500 with a Radeon 7000 64mb card, and a gig of ram, and so far, everything seems to work, with some of the higher cpu eye candy settings turned down (cloud shadows, textured lights, ground traffic, forest fires, etc.).

I run a special school inside an AIr Force base near Atlanta, where we teach 10 year-olds to fly and navigate using X-Plane, and have *lots* of hard-won experience in setting up Austin's masterwork-in-progress, so drop me a note if you need some more help.
