I am still a bit of a newbie at using the Virtual PC/Windows XP on my iMac Flat Panel.

In the Virtual PC List Window (that smaller window behind the Windows XP window) click on Networking in the Current Settings column. If you "checked the box" for Enable Networking and Shared Networking, the PC side will use the Mac's connections too. Otherwise, the Windows side needs its own IP address.

Other things you might try are in the Control Panels. In the Network Connections Control Panel there is a Network Setup Wizard. You might also check the settings in the Internet Options Control Panel. There is a special section in Internet Options for DSL.
