Check your cache enabling software and make sure it is enabling the L2 cache at start up. If you do not have any installed then this is the likely slow down. If you need the cache enabling software go to www.powerlogix.com and download their L2 enabler for OS 10, it works great and it is free.

Have tested my G3 using MacBench and found that in OS9 the the processor works near 100%. On another HD using OXX10.2.8 the processor is the same speed, almost 100% If I boot up in my main drive using OSX 10.2.8 it runs at 34%, and believe me, it is slow. I have tried everything to correct it but it seem to have happened when I did a clean install and brought over some stuff from the archived system. Can't find out what it is that is slowing this machine to a crawl. Does anyone have any idea what I can remove or install to correct this. I did an update using the 10.2.8 combo update also.
