Hi,

Some relatives of mine have had a G3 AIO for several years, and a
recent visit prompted some questions:

According to LEM, the AIO uses low profile, 3.3V unbuffered 100 MHz
168-pin SDRAM. Is this equivalent to (low profile) PC100 RAM?

The built-in video seemed dim to me. Again from LEM, the AIO may have
a dim video problem with the AV personality card. First, how would I
be able to tell if their AIO has this dim video problem, or if it's
because of natural phospher aging (or some other kind of aging)
through the years? Second, if it is a problem with the personality
card, will the fix described at
<http://www.documedia.de/systems/g3dimvideo.html> work, and how would
that impact the AIO's functionality? Third, does Apple still support
the AIO, so my relatives can go to an Apple technician to get it
fixed? Fourth, can I just buy a later revision of the personality
card that fixes this problem, or are there other repairs (eg. newer
ROMs) that are required to fix the dim video?

Thanks for any and all help,
Jeff
