Can you raise the resolution on the 12 inch screen ? I think the 12 inch
screen is the problem and I don't know of any way to fix it.

If not I would suggest getting a used 14-15 inch monitor. If you look around
you can get one cheap. I find Apple and VGA monitors at thrift stores for
$5-10.00 each.
