BobT,
Rich is correct; and iirc, in your original post, dav was one of the
selections in your sound control panel. Again, iirc, the DVD version of the
"Wings" card (which is indeed what you have) had the ATI decoder chip on the
"Wings" controller board, whereas the straight A/V version did not.  Based
on your earlier post (the 2nd) where you mentioned the ROM rev. C and the
version of ATI chip (Rage Pro), the card should be compatible.

The only thing not done yet is that which an Apple technician (during on-
phone line) suggested I do (and it worked) was pull the voltage regulator
card and PRAM battery, *then* press the CUDA switch, replace battery, then
VR card, then on reboot zap PRAM. It was the VR card that did the trick for
me.
Short of that, my guess is one of the preamps on the card went out.
