It boots with the stock G3 300 ZIF but...
I reset the ZIF jumpers to xxxSSSxSSxx as per G3 450 (order P1-P11 in orientation looking across opened mobo/door toward case). Refitted G3 450 ZIF. Removed the SCSI card and disconnected the internal modem.
The machine will not boot. No startup chime. No HD startup chatter. CD drawer will not open, so I can't boot from OS CD.
Looks like the ZIF is a dud?
