George > --Maranatha (means the Lord cometh) I wish to Thank You for your wakeup call on this seemingly very quiet area grey area on our G3s, and as I've had too many irons in the fire and too little solid input (other than the suggestion that the UW SCSI cards need to be in the nearest to the processor slot to function) on my hunt for All the BeigeG3's Open Firmware (other than these found 3): init-nvram set-defaults reset-all unique BeigeG3 dt/mt machine inputs to help in that area, Yes, it is a very scary area yet indeed, needing more time than available for pre-study with lotsa geek to spare, an some real big cajones to foolishly play around in OF to boot. But, I am plannin' to go back in and replace the SCSI card to it's original position and slide the Radeon 7000 over to the middle slot hit the CUDA, Zap the PRAM on Restart and hope for the best that both cards are workin' well before tryin' to install the OrangeMicro-FW/USB card in the open outside slot. If anyone could indulge us with some more enlightenment on these areas of thought, or even point to uRLs that would be of great help.
