I am thinking about upgrading a processor, maybe you guys can help. I have
a G3 MT (thinking about getting a B & W, but I digress) and want to upgrade
it to either a G3 or G4. Is it possible to get a processor upgrade that
could follow me from the MT to the B&W? Am I correct that the bus speed on
the MT is 66 mhz but it is 100 mhz on the B&W? Is it also true that the
Sonnet Encore G4 that runs at 1gig still only runs at the 66 mhz bus speed
would obviously only run at the 66 mhz speed on the B&W?

Which some folks might wonder, ok, what am I doing (or hope to do) on this
machine. Audio! Sound files, Pro Tools, etc. So speed does help and
especially some of the plug-ins tend to work better under a G4 than a G3,
although for the price that PowerLogix 1.1 gig G3 is starting to look
interesting. I will probably drop my 29160N SCSI card in it and bring along
my twin Fujitsu 15K hard drives.

Currently using a 9600 fully decked out, very happy. Had this G3 MT sitting
around for 6 months and finally want to get it going. Ideas greatly
appreciated. Thanks!
