I know with Digital Camcorders connected to iMovie via firewire it is possible to "push" your finished movie back to most cameras to get it back onto tape.
Can the same be done with iPhoto pushing photos back onto digital cameras?
I don't know if iPhoto can do it but you can move them over to the cameras memory if it's mounted as a volume (either as flash memory plugged into a reader or through the camera.
I've done this in the past and for pictures taken by the camera and untouched it would display them. But it wouldn't work with pictures I'd editted. YMMV.
