I would suggest you use caution with larger
peripherals
such as scanners or big printers that run directly off
the USB port.  Joysticks, mouse, & keyboards don't
draw too heavily in most cases.

You'll have to check the volts and ma(micro amp)
demands of the peripheral you intend to use, against
the stated limits of volts and ma your USB card
supplies. If your peripheral uses less than your card
you are probably ok, but not the opposite where your
card is less than the peripheral.
