Hi All, Ive got a small network with a G3 server and G4s. I recently upgraded the G4s to Panther (10.3.4) and since then the network connection has been dropping off.
It times out, but in no specific amount of time. This morning my computer dropped twice in 30 minutes and has stayed connected since then. Simple File Server: G3 Beige DT running OS 9.2.2 as a file server. Sharing files over TCP/IP with Apple Talk ON IP address, subnet & router address have been set manually. G4s - TCP/IP Using DHCP server to set IP. Apple Talk is active but Im using TCP/IP connected via afp:// Note: I had the same problem with Apple Talk connection. This is all connected via hardwire cat5 through an SMC router/swich and a Cnet switch. Any advise appreciated. Geno -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
