I'm not sure if this was answering your question. I've been looking to get
the airport express for music to another room and since it's backordered I
can't test it for what you're asking.
I think you want to plug your G3BW to the ethernet outlet on the AP express
and use that to access your airport router (avoiding a bridge or something).
And I believe that will work because the express is supposed to work as an
airport extender; I have a G3BW and could test it if I could get my hands on
one of these jobbies. I had an order with apple because they said they were
shipping but it was actually not going to ship for a month so I cancelled;
then the same thing happened with cdw today. Gotta wait a week, I guess.
Let me know if you want me to test it and let you know....in about 2 weeks.

You won't be able to use Apple's fancy little AirPort card on the B&W, you'll have to find another Mac compatible 802.11g card. Something like:

that should work, but I'm just using it as an example. I would recommend getting something from a better manufacturer.

I want to connect a B&W G3 to my Airport network at home, would I be able to use the ethernet port on an Airport Express to do this? Could I just connect it directly or would I need a hub/switch in between? Apple don't seem to say much about this on their website. Thanks Graham
