There are Rev. 1 and Rev. 2 mobos for the B&W. There are also Rev. 1 and
Rev. 2 cases.

When they originally left the factory, machines with Rev. 2 mobos came in
Rev. 2 cases, just as machines with Rev. 1 mobos came in Rev. 1 cases.

The spotting characteristics of a Rev. 2 mobo have been mentioned many
times, and will not be repeated here.

The spotting characteristics for a Rev. 2 case include: a "U" shaped
drive carrier for the basic hard drive, which will accommodate two
drives, a flat drive carrier for a third drive, located immediately next
to the basic drive carrier, and another flat drive carrier for a fourth
drive, located immediately next to the third drive carrier. Each of the
three trays are separately removeable. The third and fourth drive
positions are intended to be connected to a SCSI, UW-SCSI or UATA
controller card, not to the motherboard. Each tray is retained with a
special, short and flat M3.5-0.6 machine screw.

The spotting characteristics for a Rev. 1 case include: a shelf-like
assembly which holds three drives, the middle one being at a lower height
than the end ones. The location to the extreme right (rear) of the shelf
is for the basic hard drive. (The Rev. 1 mobo does not support Slave
drives on the UATA channel). The second and third drive positions are
intended to be connected to a SCSI, UW-SCSI or UATA controller card, not
to the motherboard. The shelf is retained with a single, conventional
M3.5-0.6 machine screw.
