I guess this is OT, but I just did a quicktime file that runs on old macs and modern PCs, but it's MPEG4 and so it apparently chokes some old windows machines. I have looked everywhere just for someone to tell me what compression to use for old win machines so they don't choke. (JPEGB?Cinepak?Must I use the AVI format?) This is not for the internet--just a CD. Sound is more important than video.
I have looked everywhere, but the only sites that discuss these issues deal with the internet or with powerpoint for windows.
(I used MPEG4 because there is lots of wind in the audio. I have finally decided MPEG4 is better than Sorensen3plusQdesign--but not for old windows machines. Of course an 7yr old beige G3 is better than most 4 year-old PCs.)
