Bruce, a much needed and appreciated regular contributor to this list once said "it is always September on the Internet." That said, please cut the dumb newbies a little slack.
It has not been that many years ago that I first joined a Low-End-Mac mailing list, the SuperMac List. I was dumb and desperate, with a serious computer issue, and nowhere else to turn. Those kind folks on the UMAX list were very friendly, as well as helpful.
We all have to start somewhere.
