Actually, the WIFI/Ethernet is a good idea. A lot of these can be had for under $100........

I initally tried the D-LINK 11mbs USB adapter that is Mac OS X supported.
What a waste of my time. I had limited success and a system panic at least
once a day with it. Some have very good luck with it, some don't.

I was going to use a Ethernet to WIFI adapter. They are quite expensive,
about the same price as a Router/Accesspoint. They are sold as an option to
connect game consoles to WiFi networks. If the G4 cube can accept a PCI card
then I would purchase a Linksys PCI 54mbs G WiFi Card that is recognised by
Mac OS X as an Extreme Airport card. I don't know if the antenna and PCI
card size would be a problem.

The Ethernet to WIFI adapter might be the way to go. You will most likely
need a PEECEE to configure the device and then connect it to the Ethernet
ports of your 2 Macs.
