Hi all,
I can recommend the combo PCI-card by Sonnet, the Trio.
It's expensive but you get three functions that work
flawlessly both under Panther and OS9: Ultra-ATA with two
busses, USB 2 (1.1 under OS9) and FireWire.
The only issue is with the original Apple/ATTO
UW-SCSI-PCI-controller (used in the beige G3 servers),
the beige freezes every time at startup with the Trio in
place. I swapped it with a Formac UW-controller and now I
can still use my UW-SCSI harddisk. Can't use that disk as
a Panther disk though ...
Jrg.
