This may be irrelevant, but my HP printer experiances are REALLY BAD. It could be bad luck with the models I got, but It could and probably
is something with the company. Bacck before I got my fabulous macs, I
had an HP which I bought brand new, and had to spend an additional
843.83 to get it to function correctly, but still have minor problems.
That comp. was the reason I switched to Apple Computers.
Well, I've got an old Deskjet 882c that was basically a freebie (used) a couple of years ago. It's still stroking along with no problems. Even has the same cartridges installed! OTOH, you couldn't GIVE me a Lexmark. I've had two different models and neither one could feed paper worth a damn. Cartridges don't last long either. I just wish I could find a way to get my old Personal Laserwriter 300 to work under Panther on either my Sawtooth or my B&W. I don't think anything can beat a laser printer for print quality and cost of use.
