Yikes. As a mac user since 1984, when I was a elementary school student, I find that the MacOS now (OS X) is what it mac was really meant to be. The only way I'd go back to OS 9 is kicking and screaming.........
Same here. My Mac usage only goes as far back as 1985, I waited until I could get one with some REAL memory (512Kb).
Change is in the nature of the computer business. Some of those changes are good, some aren't and most are a matter of opinion.

I have been a Mac user since 1993, but I have also gone back in time by buying over 100 old Macs and have therefore experience of all versions of Mac OS and pre-Mac Apples.
The funny thing that I now reflect on is in the amount of ways in which OS X is so non-Mac.
So many of the things we used to say about the Mac OS are no longer the case. We have moved away from what was and copied everything we used to criticise.
Some things were better before, even with crashes and restarts.
Some. But on the whole it's an improvement. -- Clark Martin Redwood City, CA, USA Macintosh / Internet Consulting
