Hi again,
I did a clean install of 10.2.8 and 9.2.2 on my wife's imac last night and installed Office X . Prior to this I backed up her entire hard drive and 9.1 on two recent occasions and then made a disk image copy in OS X from my back-up drive before installing 9.2.2. Microsoft documents that Entourage X can import everything from Entourage 2001, they just don't really tell you how to do it other than, "Use the import feature and follow instructions." The importer is not intrinsically smart and you have to tell it where to go. I've pointed it to everything Entourage or Office 2001 related on my backup firewire drive and it keeps coming up empty. I tried starting up the old version from the backup drive on the iMac in 9.2.2 but it starts up as a completely new 2001 version program without the old data.
Where physically does this data reside in Entourage from OfficeMac:2001?
Thanks, Mike
In Documents folder: Microsoft User Data perhaps?
Looks like what I need but can't get the importer to see it. An attachments folder there opens to reveal those docs from her old 2001 app but the address book or whatever Entourage calls it seems to be elusive.
It's ridiculous! I backed up the entire hard drive twice and can't get this important data. I leave for 4 days of out-of-town for work in a few hours and my wife will have no email database/ master address book for her business.
Any help is appreciated.
Mike
Hey I'm talking to myself again. This semi correct piece of microcrap help finnaly worked. I had to use it as a very rough guideline as it seemed like the person that wrote it has never seen a Mac OS.

In case anyone but me cares. I don't know why my wife insists on using Entourage. She just started some time ago and never changed.
