You want to scan? I saw sane tests for scsi & usb.

Am I right in saying that the only thing that is SCSI on my G3/333 is the
port on the back of the CPU? The one hard drive is IDE, I believe, as is my
CD drive. The SCSI port on the back is attached directly to the mobo and the
hard drive is attached to an ATO PCI card while the CD drive is attached to
the mobo, looks like to me anyway.
My older Umax scanner which only works on OS 9 can't be seen by the
computer. I've also tried Vuescan which says the computer doesn't see it
either. Strange thing is, when I press the 'scan' button on Vuescan, nothing
happens for a long time, about 2 minutes, and then the scanner scans but no
image comes up.
I guess I'm asking if I work on the scanner or the CPU? The scanner used to
work, in the OS 9 shell or whatever it's called, but now it won't. Any idea
what SCSI number I should use? I'm thinking 5 or 7 should be safe but if
there is nothing else on the chain, does it matter? Also I have the
terminator in place which I think should be there. Same result if it is or
isn't right now but I think it should be there. Thanks! My daughter has a
project due tonight so I gotta get it working or switch it back to a PC with
Win/98. :(
